VERNON, Conn – Bradley Haddock, 84, of Vernon, Conn., formerly of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, at Rockville General Hospital.

He was born Nov. 4, 1919. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy attached to the Marines in the Pacific Theater. He was a well-respected member of the construction industry in Boston since 1970, and was a successful sales associate of J. Haddock Fire Protection for the last 20 years.

He was an avid athlete and he participated in masters ski racing while he was in his 70s. He enjoyed daily long walks with h is dogs and telling fascinating stories of the past.

Generous, kind, honest, filled with integrity and with a wonderful sense of humor, he will be forever loved and missed.

He was the loving husband of Mary O’Connor Haddock; he was also a kind and loving father to James Haddock of Annapolis, Md., Robin Green of Mashpee, Mass., and John Haddock of Newburyport, Mass.; a grandfather of seven; a great-grandfather of two; he is also survived by his sister, Natalie Davis of Guilford, N.H.

He showed unconditional love and support to his family and he touched the lives of those who surrounded him.
