AUBURN – Robert Rosaire Lessard, 71, of Eagle View Drive, Auburn, died Thursday, May 13, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Oct. 31, 1932, the son of Ovila and Irene Laliberte Lessard. He was educated in local schools and served in the U.S. Army. He was married June 28, 1958, to Constance Reynolds and was employed as a lab technician at U.S. Gypsum in Lisbon Falls for 33 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Lewiston Senior Citizens and enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, wood refinishing, keeping his property “in order”, snowmobiling, camping, motorcycle riding, his T.V. remote control and listening to his CD’s.

He is survived by his wife of Auburn; three daughters, Paulette Martel and husband Gerry of Proctorville, Vt., Teresa Lessard of Harpswell and Lisa Boucher and husband Michael of Middleburg, Fla.; two sons, Richard and Michael Lessard both of Auburn; six grandchildren, Anna, Gerry Joe and Ian Martel of Vermont, and Katie, Mikey and Chrissy Boucher of Florida; his mother of Lewiston; five sisters, Cecile Belanger and husband Armand of Lewiston, Muriel Bernier of Lewiston, Jeannine Vachon and husband Daniel of Farmingdale, Georgette Derosby and husband Donald of Lewiston and Sister Claire Lessard of Bound Brook, N.J.; a brother, Raymond Lessard and wife Yolande of Livermore; an uncle, Gerard Laliberte of Lewiston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Donald.
