NORWAY – Veterans and other community members are being invited to the Norway Memorial Library to share their memories of times of war, to view the library’s display featuring artifacts from World War II and the Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm wars, and to help the library begin to create a community veterans notebook. It will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 21.

People will meet in the library’s multipurpose room to share memories and stories of their wartime experiences. Refreshments will be served, and World War II era popular music will be played.

Veterans, who are willing to participate, will be photographed and asked to fill out a brief biographical form. These will be used in the library’s Oxford Hills Community veterans notebook to help preserve this part of the community’s history.

For more information, people can call the library at 743-5309.
