AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a short course on Fundamentals of Finance for Non-Financial Managers (CCS 072-01) from 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, June 7 through 21, at the college. The cost is $165 and includes materials.
The course provides core concepts of finance and accounting in an easy-to-understand manner, including terminology, principles, financial statements, distinction between income and cash flow and valuation. Participants will learn how financial data is used to make business decisions and to evaluate performance.
The course will be taught by Howard Herodes, CPA, who has more than 18 years of professional accounting experience. Herodes owns Herodes Financial, which provides financial support to Maine businesses.
