FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network has selected Billie-Jo Steward as April’s featured employee of the Stars Incentive Program. Steward is an environmental services aide/floor specialist who has worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital for more than three years.

The Stars Incentive Program was developed by FCHN’s Recruitment and Retention Committee to show employee-to-employee appreciation for little, but special things that are done for each other.

Steward received her winning blue star nomination from Dr. Jim Smith for “taking pride and putting in extra efforts in making Pine Tree Family Practice sparkling and attractive.”

As a featured employee, Steward’s photo and biography are posted on the employee bulletin board and she received a tote bag, pin and movie pass. As part of the environmental services team, Steward primarily takes care of general facility cleaning, as well as cleaning and refinishing floors. “I get a lot of satisfaction working on flooring, especially the tile floors and comparing the before and after,” she said. “The end result still amazes me.”

Steward lives in Jay with her pets: two chinchillas, two cats, a rabbit, and dog. During her free time she grooms cats and dogs, and enjoys quilting.
