BOSTON – More than 200 fifth- through eighth-grade students from 20 states as far away as Washington, California and Florida descended on Boston for a chance at the top prize of $5,000 at the second annual National School Scrabble Championship April 24. The team of Tucker Johnson of Harrison and Lindsay Strout of Otisfield from Otisfield Community School placed 69th at the championship. They were the only team representing the state and finished the tournament with a 3-3 record.
