WALES – Pat Duchette allowed one hit in four innings Monday as Oak Hill rolled past Rockland 11-0 in KVAC baseball action.
The Raiders (12-1) received support at the plate from Wally Rines, Kyle Lunn and Kyle Harrington, who all had doubles. Brian Bisson also tallied two hits for Oak Hill.
Wade Oliver led the offensive effort for the Tigers (3-9) with a triple. Josh Fogg and Wes Drinkwater handled pitching duties for Rockland in the first four innings, then Oliver stepped in to close out the game in the fifth.
Mtn. Valley 26, Carrabec 2
NORTH ANSON – Aaron McPhee smashed a grand slam along with two doubles as Mountain Valley plowed past Carrabec to a 26-2 victory Monday.
Korey Staires hit two RBI doubles, while Ben Madigan added two doubles. Dick Cote hit a single, while John Umbro smacked a double for the Falcons (12-1) win. Marcus Palmer recorded the win on the mound and struck out eight batters in three innings.
Tim Therrien paced the Cobra’s (1-14) with a double and a single.
Messalonskee 6, Edward Little 5
OAKLAND – Derek Blake smacked a three-run home run in the fifth inning to lift Messalonskee to a 6-5 win over Edward Little in KVAC baseball action Monday.
Justin Willey hit a triple and had two hits in the contest for the Eagles (6-9). Stefan Wrigley struck out seven batters for Messalonskee, and helped himself with a pair of hits.
The Eddies (5-9) were led by Chris LeClair with a double and Justin Ciszewski with two hits.
Gould 8, CVA 6
BETHEL – Quinn McAllister scattered eight hits and received strong support at the plate as Gould Academy defeated Carrabassett Valley Academy 8-6.
John Monson belted out a pair of hits for Gould (7-9) as the Huskies completed their regular season.
Justin Anthony and Ron Digravio led the offensive effort for CVA with two hits apiece. Brian Kelly threw a complete game, striking out 13 while walking nine for his third loss.
St. Dom’s 6, Waynflete 4
PORTLAND – John Rutt belted out a two-run single in the sixth inning to lift St. Dom’s to a 6-4 win over winless Waynflete in a WMC baseball matchup Monday.
Ian Pullen chipped in for the Saints (9-2) with an RBI triple, while Mike Carpenter added a pair of hits.
Pete Devine led the Flyers (0-10) with a double in the first inning. Eli Ash held the mound for the first five innings and was credited with the loss.
