LEWISTON – Louis P. Parent, 81, formerly of Intown Manor and Connecticut, died Saturday, May 15, at Montello Manor.

Born in Van Buren, March 15, 1923, a son of Alexis and Catherine Theriault Parent, he was educated in Van Buren schools. He was married to the former Rachel Michaud, who died April 6, 1984.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Parish, while living in Lewiston and a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Connecticut. He was also a member of the Lewiston Senior Citizens and enjoyed card playing and loved horse and dog races. He worked as a machinist for Schovill Mfg. and Century Brass Mfg. in Waterbury, Conn.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Parent of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; two sons, Robert Parent and wife, Donna of Eagle Lake and Richard Parent and wife, Cindy of Waterbury, Conn.; seven grandchildren and three sisters, Gertrude Paradis of Vernon, Conn., Corinne Lebel of Van Buren and Ann Parent of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by a son, Roger Parent.
