JAY – Sara Fettehoff ripped an RBI triple in the 16th inning to send her sister Jana across the plate and lift Jay to a 2-1 victory over Livermore Falls in MVC softball action Monday afternoon.

Bree Loon twirled 16 innings despite feeling ill, striking out 22 batters and walking just one. Kaylie Demillo tallied a triple and an RBI-double for the Tigers (10-1), while Fettehoff tallied two hits on the day.

Kelly Jenko led the Andies’ offense with an RBI triple in the bottom of the 16th inning to make it 1-0. Cassandra Purrington threw a complete game, allowing nine hits while taking the loss.

Messalonskee 6, EL 0

OAKLAND – Clarice Pepper fanned 14 batters as Messalonskee blanked Edward Little 6-0 in a KVAC softball game Monday.

Mary Goodrow smacked two doubles, and recorded three RBIs. Michelle Perry hit an RBI double, while Laurie Blake and Anne Currier each hit doubles for the Eagles (11-4).

The Eddies (4-11) were paced by Alyson Keene who had both of her team’s hits.

Oak Hill 5, Rockland 0

WALES – Julie Lizotte had a solid day both on the mound and at the plate, striking out 11 batters and hitting an RBI triple, to lead Oak Hill to a 5-0 win over Rockland Monday.

Emily Grondin pounded a pair of doubles, while Ashley Cyr hit one for the Raiders (10-3). Magan Blais and Ashly Medeiros each chipped in with triples for the Raiders.

Rockland was paced by Nicole Clark with two hits.

Lacrosse
McAuley 12, Lewiston 11

LEWISTON – With 40 seconds remaining in the contest, Maureen Wark netted the game-winning goal to lift McAuley to a 12-11 triumph over Lewiston in lacrosse action Monday afternoon.

McAuley (5-4) took a 4-0 lead 10 minutes into the game, but Lewiston crawled back to trail 6-5 by halftime. With seven minutes left, Lewiston (5-5) still trailed 11-7 before fighting back again to tie it up at 11-all before Wark scored the game winner.

Wark ended the contest with six goals, while teammates Elyse Lafund, Tracey Jameson, Brianna Bowman, and Katie Jones combined for six goals.

Lewiston was paced by Gen Lysen with six goals. Marina MacDonald, Kelsey Varney, and Caitlyn Anthoing chipped in with a combined five goals for the effort.

Mountain Valley 11, Edward Little 10

AUBURN – Sam Johnson netted a game-high six goals to pace Mountain Valley to an 11-10 victory over Edward Little.

Jess Allen chipped in with three goals, while Ashley Arsenault and Gail Manson each added a goal apiece for the Falcons (5-6) win.

The Eddies effort was led by Beth Esponnette scoring three of the 10 goals, while Kate Bonney, Kathy Harder, Christie Moreno, and Dani Martino combined to make up the difference.
