Elm Street School

The Academic Advocate group of Elm Street School held a fundraiser to help out the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Aubum (SPCA). For the months of January and February, the Academic Advocate group went to each class and told them about the fundraiser and explained to the class what we were trying to do. They also made posters and hung them up around town and in the school.

In Mrs. Deborah William’s class (1st grade), each student donated one hundred pennies. The rest of the donations were all individual donations. Mrs. Downing, (the head of the group) made three trips to the shelter. In all the school donated over one hundred items to the shelter.

The SPCA sent a big thank-you to all who helped donate.
