FARMINGTON – Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Dan Martin will share his perspectives and hear the public’s views at a conservation town meeting to be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, in Lincoln Auditorium of Roberts Learning Center at the University of Maine at Farmington. This forum is free and open to the public.

It is sponsored by the Maine Chapter of the Izaak Walton League and the Western Maine Audubon Society.

The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has been particularly hard hit and is struggling to make optimum use of limited resources. What are the department’s priorities and how is it apportioning its resources to do justice to both game and non-game species?

Martin will share his thoughts about outdoor recreationists, such as bird watchers, photographers, hikers, as well as fishermen and hunters. All are welcome.
