LEWISTON – Ramon J.”Bud” Villani II, 45, of 453 Main St., Lewiston passed on suddenly, unexpectedly yet peacefully in his sleep May 16.

He was born in Lewiston on July 28, 1958. The loving and thoughtful son of Ramon and Joan Villani of Lewiston, “Bud” was a graduate from Lewiston High School class of 1976, and soon after joined the U.S. Navy and completed a four year tour in the Seabees unit. He was employed at Bath Iron Works for the past 22 years.

During these years at BIW he made many friends. He often spoke with high regard about certain co-workers which meant that he considered them to be his family at the shipyard. He also was employed during the summer months by Rancourt Associates mowing lawns in his spare time.

He was an exceptional human being. His heart was the engine that controlled his actions. In his heart, he knew what was right. He was a thoughtful son to his parents, a loving brother to his siblings and a committed father to his children. He was ready to help anyone at anytime. He was simply someone to be admired. Things he loved in life was the closeness of family.

He had a very special bond with his “Pepere” and his late “Memere” Romeo and Theresa Corriveau. Being born on his grandmother’s birthday made his entry into the world very special. He spoke openly of his appreciation for the values taught to him by his parents and lived these lessons with purpose and meaning. To see him forward these values on to his children made his commitment in life priceless.

He was indeed a committed father. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, being outdoors, and teaching his son Aaron how to fish. His passion of all time was to complete his dream car his 1964 Caliente Comet. He spent countless hours with the help of his brother Dana and many friends restoring car parts in effort to obtain its original condition. He loved his Comet. For all who knew and loved him, take that empty hole in your heart and fill it with all the good memories of him and seal it forever. This is his gift to you.

He is survived by two sons, Mario Villani of Augusta, Aaren O. DeWitt Villani of Sabattus; his mom and dad, Ramon and Joan Villani of Lewiston; his paternal grandfather, Romeo J. Corriveau and companion Cecile Bergeron of Lewiston; his companion, Jacqueline Favreau of Lewiston; two sisters, Jennifer and her husband Scot Lever of Goffstown, N.H., Barbara Villani and her companion Donald Godin of Leeds; a brother, Dana Viliani and his companion Jodi Walter of Minot; and a special aunt, Joyce Underwood of Florida.
