FARMINGTON – Franklin Memorial Hospital is hosting a Community Appreciation Breakfast for all area clergy, their spouses and any church staff starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, in the Bass Room at the hospital.
The breakfast is to thank the area clergy and staff for their work in area communities. It’s also a chance for the clergy to learn more about programs affiliated with the hospital that might benefit their congregations.
The Rev. Doug Dunlap will kick off the breakfast with a brief presentation on the meaning of community. Then, staff from the health system will describe some of their programs including the Franklin Health Access Project, Contract for Care and the Mental Health Task Force.
“More and more we find that reaching out into our communities is the way to connect people with health care,” said Rick Batt, president of Franklin Memorial Hospital. “We’d like to take this occasion to talk specifically with our area’s religious who are the foundations of our communities.”
Following the breakfast, attendees will be offered a tour of the hospital’s newer facilities.
To plan for the breakfast, members of the clergy, their spouse/guest or any church staff should respond by Friday, May 21, to Cheryl Peak at 779-2750 to let her know how many will attend.
