As per my usual Sunday morning schedule, the first section of the Sun Journal that I read is the comics. I became completely flabbergasted while reading the “Blondie” comic. I cannot believe that you allowed the use of the word “scumbag” in a comic. Do you have any idea how many children, including my 9-year-old nephew, read the comics?

Television and video games already rob children of their innocence. Do we need the comics to contribute to the decline of society, also. I understand that you are not solely responsible for this atrocity, so I will be contacting the writers of the “Blondie” comic and King Features Syndicate. I cannot possibly express the level of disgust that I feel. I should cancel my subscription to the newspaper and boycott it altogether.
