SOUTH PARIS – Liston M. Brown, 88, formerly of East Poland died Thursday, May 20, at Market Square Health Care Center.

He was born in Waterford on June 14, 1915, the son of Lewis and Clara Pike Brown. He attended Waterford schools and graduated from Norway High School in 1933. He worked over 40 years for Sanborn Express as a maintenance foreman at their Norway, Portland and Auburn terminals.

He married Winifred Dunham on Dec. 27, 1952. He was a 50-year member of the Oxford Lodge 17 AF & AM. and Oxford Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. He loved flower gardens, birds and animals.

He is survived by his wife, Winifred of Norway; two sons, Charles F. Huff Jr. and his wife Shirley of Norway and Brian C. Huff of Prospect, Conn.; three grandchildren, Kyle Huff, Scott Huff and his wife Laurie and Kevin Huff; two great-grandchildren, Anna and Emily Huff, the light of his life; a sister, Donna Dunn and her husband Peter of Mechanic Falls; and a brother, Reid Grover and his wife Sylvia of Waterford.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Christine Darlene; a son, Bruce M. Huff; two brothers, Stanley Brown and Richard Grover; and three sisters, Marguerite Swan, Althea Rich and Agnes Brown.
