LEWISTON – H. Everett LaBelle, 74, of Wilton died of cancer, Sunday, May 23, in Lewiston.

He was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Freeman, a son of the late Alton A. and Muriel E. (French) LaBelle.

He married June 10, 1950.

During the Korean Conflict Mr. LaBelle served with the U.S. Army, 1952 – 1954, reaching the rank of corporal, in the 21st Chemical Decontamination Co. working on flame-throwers.

He worked at H.G. Winters & Sons in Kingfield for several years as a hempel mechanic and at the Stowell McGregors in Dixfield, for several years as a foreman, until he retired Oct. 1, 1991.

Mr. LaBelle is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Edith Irene Hesketh of Wilton.
