LEWISTON – Private 1st Class Laurier “Larry” J. Belanger Jr., 18, a resident of 137 College Street died unexpectedly at his residence early Sunday morning, May 23.

“Larry” was born in Charleston, S.C., July 23, 1985, the son of Laurier J. and Catherine Crowley Belanger Sr.

He attended Lewiston schools, and then joined the Army National Guard in 2003, attaining the rank of private first class, and was stationed in Bangor serving in the military police. He was also employed as a PCA at Russell Park Rehabilitation Center in Lewiston.

Survivors include his maternal grandfather, Dennis Crowley Sr., of Sabattus; his father, Laurier J. Belanger Sr., and his living partner, Donna Crowley of Monmouth; his mother, Catherine Crowley and her living partner, Lee Cayton of Lewiston; one brother, Brice Crowley of Monmouth; four sisters, Mandy Belanger of Lewiston, Kristina Thibodeau and her husband, Bobby of Lewiston, Becky Belanger of Lewiston, and Amber Belanger of Monmouth; three nieces, Elizabeth Thibodeau, Katie Thibodeau. and Mariah Wright; one nephew, Jamison Frank; many aunts and uncles.
