LEWISTON – Theresa L. Beaudette, 74, a longtime resident of Main Street, Jay, died Monday, May 24, at St. Mary’s General Hospital following a long illness.

She was born on June 26, 1929, in Jay, the daughter of Dosithee and Cecile (Pineau) Gosselin. She graduated from Jay High School in 1948. She married Rene Beaudette of Jay on Nov. 11, 1950, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He died Nov. 30, 1999.

After her marriage she worked at Bass Shoe in Wilton, she then stayed at home and raised her family. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Anne. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Gary Beaudette and his wife Barbara of Jay; her daughter, Debra Walton of Bath; six grandchildren, Danielle, Jonathan, Matthew and Carl Beaudette and Lindsey and Michael Walton; two sisters, Lorette Chabot and her husband William of Livermore Falls and Lorraine Lagasse and her husband Real of Sun City, Calif.; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her stepmother, Juliette Gosselin; a sister, Rita Pepin; and a brother-in-law, Armand Fournier.
