PORTLAND – Eddie A. Morin Sr., 75, of Mechanic Falls Road, Oxford, formerly of Auburn, died Monday, May 24, at Maine Medical Center, with his family by his side, after a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, Oct. 15, 1928, the son Joseph and Alice (Therriault) Morin, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On Sept. 26, 1953, he married the former Irene J. Pratt, who survives him of Oxford. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he worked for many years at the Bates Mill.

He was a member of the New Auburn American Legion, he attended St. Louis Church for many years and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Mr. Morin raised his family in Auburn and in July 2003 he and his wife moved to Oxford.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Eddie Morin Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Livermore Falls; three daughters, Pauline Paladino and her husband, Gary of Oxford, Alison Morin of Auburn and Gina Morin and her companion, Tammy Grover of Lisbon; and one sister, Theresa Montaina and her husband, Andrew of Pensacola, Fla.; they also raised many other children including Steven Bartlett and his wife, Melissa of Auburn; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Blanche Beauchesne; and two brothers, Armand and Bertrand Morin.
