LEWISTON – Raymond Dehetre, 80, of 61 Harold Street, passed away Monday, May 24, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston March 23, 1924, a son of Arthur and Marielice (Lavoie) Dehetre. “Ray” attended Lewiston schools and was a Veteran of the military having served in the Army during World War II.

In 1974, he married the former Lucille Langlais. He worked for 33 years as a food service director at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree Wallace Assembly, Lewiston Lodge of Elks 371, the American Legion Post 22 & the VFW.

He leaves his wife of 30 years, Lucille of Lewiston; a stepson, Michael and his companion, Winnie Gray of Lewiston; a sister, Janice A. Connors and her husband Robert of Lewiston; two brothers, Richard J. Dehetre of Lewiston and Laurier P. Dehetre and his wife Lorraine of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Arlene Dehetre of Auburn; two stepgrandsons, Brad of Auburn and Alan of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Constance C. Dehetre; and a brother, Philip R. Dehetre.
