POLAND – Kelli O’Connor’s base hit in the seventh inning sent Sara Lefebvre home to lift Poland to a 5-4 victory over Freeport.
Meghan Ford chipped in for the Knights (10-5) with two triples, while Casey Darnell added a double. O’Connor also handled pitching duties for Poland, allowing eight hits while notching her sixth win of the season.
Nicole Greene and Morgan Allen led Freeport (2-13) with two hits apiece. Cassandra Doane tossed a complete game and took the loss.
Livermore Falls 16, Boothbay 0
BOOTHBAY – Taryn Flagg had four hits and hit a solo shot in the first inning and Livermore Falls never looked back as they crushed Boothbay 16-0.
The Andies’ Cassandra Purington gave up just one hit to earn her eighth win of the season. Rachel Ventrella had three RBIs for Livermore Falls (10-5).
Sam Carroll had the only hit for Boothbay (3-11).
Telstar 13, Mountain Valley 3
RUMFORD – Kayla Mills went 3-for-5 with three RBIs to pace unbeaten Telstar to a 13-3 victory over Mountain Valley in a late-season MVC softball contest.
Jillian Kimball twirled a complete game for the Rebels (13-0) to earn her 13th win of the season.
Mallory Thurston led the Falcons (3-9) with a bases-loaded triple in the sixth, while Abby Mills allowed five runs in five innings and was credited with the loss.
Oak Hill 7, Erskine 3
WALES – Julie Lizotte went 4-for-4 with an RBI to lead Oak Hill to a 7-3 victory over Erskine.
Lena Dietrich and Magan Blais each went 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Raiders (12-3). Ashlie Mckenney knocked in Tasha Cao and Rachael Helm on a two-run double in the second inning for Erskine (5-10).
Monmouth 20, Dirigo 4
DIXFIELD – Alexa Gauthier went 5-for-5 with three RBIs to propel Monmouth to a 20-4 romp over Dirigo.
Ashley McDonald chipped in with two hits and three RBIs for the Mustangs (4-9), while Sam Fairchild added two hits and two RBIs. Kayla Chick scattered nine hits for the win. Mnmouth scored 10 runs in the first inning.
Michelle Holmquist led the Cougars (1-14) with three hits and one RBI. Jess Meader was the losing pitcher.
Lacrosse
Lewiston 15, York 14
LEWISTON – Kelsey Rodrigue scoredd the game-winning goal as Lewiston defeated York 15-14.
Lewiston scored six unanswered goals and held York scoreless for the last 10 minutes of the game. Gen Lysen netted five goals for the Blue Devils (7-5).
Heidi Jackson scored three goals for York (5-7).
