RUMFORD – Terry Collins fanned 12 and walked none as Telstar squeaked out a narrow 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley in MVC baseball action Tuesday.

The Rebels (9-4) collected two unearned runs in the seventh to secure the win.

Richie Ross belted out a pair of hits for the Falcons (9-3), and also struck out 13 in a genuine pitchers’ duel. Tim Turner stepped in to relieve in the seventh and closed out the game.

Livermore Falls 13, Boothbay 2

BOOTHBAY – Mike Chamard and Brad Bryant belted out three hits apiece, including a pair of RBI doubles, to lead Livermore Falls to 13-2 victory over Boothbay in MVC baseball Tuesday.

Mark O’Shea also chipped in with a double for the Andie (8-7). Bryant also earned the mound win, allowing six hits in five innings.

Brian Babcock led the Seahawks (6-8) with two hits. Matt Higgins allowed five runs in the first three innings to take the loss.

Poland 6, Freeport 3

POLAND – Pitcher Jerry Goss went the distance with three strikeouts and also hit a two-run double to lead Poland to a 6-3 victory over Freeport.

Alex Smith had two hits and two RBIs for the Knights (9-6). Freeport’s (9-6) Ben Grant had 13 strikeouts and also had a single and double.

St. Dom’s 12, Old Orchard Beach 0

OLD ORCHARD – Ryan Turgeon went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and scored twice to lead St. Dom’s to a 12-0 rout over Old Orchard Beach in WMC baseball action Tuesday.

Jon Rutt contributed three its and two RBIs for the Saints (11-2), while Mike Garand added a double. Ian Pullen scattered two hits and struck out five while notching his fourth win of the season.

Ryan Mondor led the Seagulls’ (8-4) offensive effort with two singles. Chris Banville twirled a complete game and took the loss.

Oxford Hills 2, Cony 0

SOUTH PARIS – Cory Tielenen threw a no-hitter to pace Oxford Hills to a 2-0 win over Cony in the semifinals of the KVAC baseball playoffs Tuesday.

Tielenen helped his own cause when he ripped an RBI double in the fourth inning. Kyle Keniston chipped in for the Vikings (14-3) with two singles.

Norman Din took the loss for the Rams (13-4).
