On Tuesday, June 8, primary Election Day, voters in House District 71 will have the good fortune to cast their vote for Bob Macdonald, a candidate who will make a difference in how our city will be represented in Augusta.

Bob exemplifies integrity, honor and good judgment and a deep and abiding concern for how the people’s money is being spent by our state government. He pledges to work for tax relief, job opportunity, affordable health insurance and adequate services for the elderly and veterans.

He served his country in Vietnam, became a member of the detective unit in the Lewiston Police Department and later their school liaison officer. He presently teaches in the Lewiston school system. Bob’s varied and extensive career has made him very sensitive to the needs of the people, and he has a strong understanding of how government should work when “the people” are paying the bills.

I would urge the voters in House District 71 to support Bob Macdonald on June 8 as a vote for Bob is a vote for good and fair government.

Rosemarie Butler, Lewiston
