LIVERMORE FALLS – SAD 36 directors have scheduled a public hearing Thursday to discuss a proposed $8.08 million spending plan for fiscal 2005.

The hearing is at 7 p.m. at the Middle School cafeteria.

The plan, which includes adult education and food services, reflects a $193,243 increase over the existing budget.

The budget reflects a flat tax rate for funding education for Livermore and Livermore Falls but still sustains programs, Superintendent Terry Despres said.

The existing budget of $7.88 million for 2003-04 was less than the $7.94 million budget in 2002-03.

The projected assessment for Livermore is $1.65 million, an increase of $94,136 over the existing assessment.

Livermore Falls’ projected assessment of $1.82 million reflects a decrease of $26,514.68.

The budget will go before voters Tuesday, June 8, in all-day referendum.
