LEWISTON – The American Cancer Society will host the Relay For Life of Androscoggin County event on Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26, at Lewiston High School.

Two activities open to the public are the cancer survivors’ lap and the luminaria ceremony. For more information on Relay For Life or the activities contact the American Cancer Society at 373-3701.

Friday, June 25, 6:30 p.m., Cancer survivor recognition: Cancer survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer) from the Androscoggin County area are invited to walk the first lap of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

The event and survivors’ lap will be held at Lewiston High School. Each cancer survivor will receive a medallion to wear while walking the track. There is no cost. Cancer survivors need to call the American Cancer Society at 373-3701. Families are welcome.

Friday, June 25, 10 p.m., Luminaria Ceremony: The American Cancer Society will conduct the luminaria ceremony to recognize those touched by cancer in Androscoggin County. Individuals or companies can make contributions in memory of those lost to cancer and in honor of those who have survived.

Each will be recognized by a lighted luminaria (candle lantern) displayed at the Relay For Life event held at Lewiston High School. Luminaria contributions can be made by calling the American Cancer Society at 373-3701.
