My father was a veteran of World War II and a fine man.

He used to tell us of the things that happened to the prisoners when caught by our military personnel. They would be beaten up until bloody and thrown into a room where higher-up military personnel would “question” them by electric treatments while wet, or put thin pieces of wood under fingernails, break fingers or limbs with vices or mallets, cut off fingers or toes or ears, etc.

He would say he got sick with this and hearing the screams of the poor people and the laughing of our people. He said the ones who died were the lucky ones. No one stopped them, but encouraged them more.

So be real, America. War isn’t pretty any way you look at it. This has been going on for war upon war and the only reason President Bush is seeking leads is because the story got out and now the American people know it.

It is the military’s little dirty secret and most people don’t know unless family members told them or they were there to see it firsthand.

Our people are just as sick as any one else in war time.

Wake up, America!
