AUBURN – A new course, Communication in Romantic Relationships, will be offered at Central Maine Community College beginning on Tuesday, June 1.

The three-credit course will be offered in a three-week format, ending on June 23. The class will meet each day, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The cost is $258, plus text books.

Communication in Romantic Relationships (PSY 296-01) is a psychology course that examines the types of communication patterns specific to romantic relationships, as well as the factors that impact their effectiveness.

Among the topics will be conflict resolution, gender differences in communication and typical issues that couples deal with in everyday life. Credits for Central Maine Community College courses are generally accepted for degree programs at the college and at other accredited colleges and universities.
