WILTON – Officials will meet at the Renaissance School, formerly Wilton Primary School, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 1. The regular selectmen’s meeting will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the town office.

Officials will discuss forming a plan for the process to consider the transfer of ownership of the 24 School St. property from SAD 9 to the town.

Selectmen will also consider the selection of a new public works foreman for the town. Interviews for the recently vacated position were held May 24 and 25. The town received 13 applications for the job.

Ken Vining resigned that position for personal reasons in April. He held it for 27 years.

Officials plan to sign an emergency mitigation plan to assist Franklin County Emergency Management with receiving mitigation funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Town Manager Peter Nielsen will present a report from Sandy River Recycling. He will also report that wood harvesting on Guy Chandler Road will resume soon. Nielsen will also tell selectmen about a response received from LifeStar Ambulance regarding a request for information about the workings of the ambulance service.
