• May 27, 8:09 p.m. – Vehicles driven by Peter Buotte, 56, of Rumford, and Christian Hughes, 34, of Haverhill, Mass., collided at the intersection of Maine Avenue and Franklin Street. Damage to Buotte’s 2000 Saab was estimated at $,5000; to Hughes’ 1997 Ford pickup truck, $1,000.

• May 25, 9:10 p.m. – A Falmouth Street resident reported that someone had rifled the contents of the glove compartment of her parked car today. Nothing was reported to be missing, but the glove box contents were dumped on the floor.

• May 25, 8:45 p.m. – A vehicle driven by Felix Ricci, 78, of Rumford Center, struck a moose on Andover Road near Duke’s Auto, killing the animal. Ricci’s 1994 Buick sustained an estimated $1,500 in damage. Ricci was uninjured.

• Norman Johnson, 33, of Rumford, on a warrant, on May 26. He was transported to Oxford County jail in Paris.
