LEWISTON – Dorothy L. Bickford, 88, of Auburn died Tuesday June 1, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston. She was born in Bowdoin, Jan. 20, 1916, a daughter of Herbert and Ruth McIver Jones. She was educated in Bowdoin schools and later graduated from Lisbon Falls High School with the class of 1934. On July 26, 1952, she married Donald S. Bickford. Dortohy was employed for 25 years as a clerk at the former Peck’s Department Store in Lewiston. She was a member of the former Thorne’s Corner Grange #498 of Lewiston, D.A.V. #11 Auxillary, Emilien Hamann of Lewiston and the Mt. Olivet Chapter 329 O.E.S. of Lewiston and Aubrun. Among her favorite enjoyments throughout her life was cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Donald of Auburn; two sons, Randall Woodcock of Lewiston and Calvin Woodcock and wife, Robin of Gray; three grandchildren, Rhonda Tremblay of Manchester, Conn., Ryan Woodcock of Colchester, Conn. and Joshua Woodcock of Gray and four great-grandchildren.
