PORTLAND – The X-Ecutioners with Northern State and the Wylde Bunch will perform at The Asylum, 121 Center St.,Friday, June 4. Doors open at 8 p.m.

The X-Ecutioners (formerly the X-Men), are one of the first all-DJ outfits to have a record deal. DJ Rob Swift orchestrates a blend of hip hop and jazz from behind the tables and Roc Raida raps, simply by cutting verses together from other artists. Their breakthrough single from their 2002 release “Built from Scratch,” called “It’s Going Down,” featured Linkin Park front man Mike Shinoda. The newest single from their 2004 release “Revolutions” is with Rob Zombie.

Northern State is an all female rap trio from New York. The Wylde Bunch is a reggae influenced hip-hop act.

Tickets, $15, are sold at Bull Moose Music or at The Asylum day of show only. The show is for people 21 and older.
