Lewiston would be well served by nominating Paul Madore for the Democratic state Senate seat on June 8. He supports the values that the majority of citizens hold most dear.

Given the choice of destroying thousands of years of the fabric of civil society or keeping the traditional family intact, Madore supports the traditional family. His opponent, Margaret Rotundo, does not. Madore is pro-life; she is not.

It is important to note Rotundo’s voting record. She voted for an increase in the state gas tax of 3.5 percent. Rotundo also voted 80 percent of the time against legislation that would have benefited small business owners. These facts alone mean she has struck out. We need a new team on board.

Having given his mother-in-law a home with his family, Madore has a big heart for the problems of the elderly. He sets a great example for us all.
