I have been privileged to serve with Sen. Peggy Rotundo over the past four years, and I know firsthand the outstanding work she does. Rotundo was instrumental in securing $2 million for the University of Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn campus. She worked tirelessly to cut prescription drug costs for seniors and others, supporting the Maine Rx and Drugs for the Elderly programs.
Rotundo is a leader on the Appropriations Committee, responsibly addressing Maine’s budget problems while limiting, to the greatest extent possible, cuts to health care and other key services. She worked hard to prevent major cuts in nursing home services and supported clear language in the budget protecting state retirees’ health insurance.
The people of Lewiston should be proud to have Peggy Rotundo representing them in the Maine Senate. There is no one with more integrity and common sense – qualities that have served her constituents well.
