AUGUSTA – The rock band Boston will appear at the Augusta Civic Center at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, in the second stop of a summer concert tour of North American cities that they were unable to get to last year.

The tour will reunite guitarist, producer and songwriter Tom Scholz with original lead singer Brad Delp. It will feature material from all of the Boston records, including the band members’ latest release, “Corporate America.”

Delp (vocals, guitar) and Scholz (guitar, keyboards and vocals) will be joined by Kimberley Dahme (bass, vocals), and Anthony Cosmo (guitar, backing vocals), both of whom contribute to the band as songwriters also.

Fran Cosmo (vocals, guitar), Gary Pihl (guitar, keyboards and backing vocals) and Jeff Neal (drums, vocals) complete the lineup.

Since the last tour, Boston band members have performed the national anthem (in 3 degree weather) for their home football team, Super Bowl winners, the New England Patriots.

The group also has been working in the studio with Scholz. The band still holds sales records for its debut album, which sold more than 18 million copies in the United States and Canada.

This summer’s tour includes concerts in Baltimore; Atlantic City, N.J.; Washington, D.C.; Green Bay, Wis.; several stops in California; Albuquerque, N.M.; and El Paso, Texas.

Fans who’ve followed Boston know that the group rarely tours in two consecutive years, but this summer is an exception, according to a spokesman for the group.

Tickets can be obtained from the Civic Center box office, 626-2400; at Ticketmaster, (207) 775-3331 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
