RANGELEY – Voters in Rangeley will decide on selectmen and School Committee members during Tuesday’s election.

Candidates for two positions on the Board of Selectmen are incumbents James Jannace and James Stone and challenger Ethna Thompson. Selectmen serve a three-year term.

The Rangeley School Committee has two vacancies for three-year terms. Larry Carrier and Joanne Chapman are seeking re-election, and Virginia Nuttall is running for election.

Shirley Herbert is running for the Rangeley Park Commission. There are two vacancies on the Park Commission.

Voters may write in candidates for any office.

The Rangeley Sewer Commission is required to elect two members. No community member has filed the necessary application to appear on the ballot.

The election will be held on June 8 at the Rangeley Town Office between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Residents may vote by absentee ballot, which may be obtained until 4 p.m. June 7 at the town office. Unregistered voters may register at the polls on June 8.
