WILTON – A Jay woman was injured Monday after she lost control of her vehicle, and it rolled onto its roof. A Wilton firefighter provided first aid before police and ambulance workers arrived.

Christina Brown, 27, who has a Florida license but is living in Jay, was traveling on Route 156 in Wilton between Jay and Chesterville, heading toward the latter town when her right tires went off the pavement. She then over-corrected the vehicle and crossed the road and went onto the shoulder on the left side and skidded sideways down the shoulder. Her rear tires hit a ditch and the vehicle rolled onto its roof, , Wilton police officer Ed Leahy said.

Wilton firefighter Randy Gordon provided first aid, Leahy said.

Brown was treated at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington and released, a spokesman said.
