LEWISTON – A play, “No More Secrets,” was presented to students in grades one through six at three elementary schools during Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Sponsored by Advocates for Children, the one-act play helps children learn about sexual abuse through blending music, humor and candor.

During the past 11 years, “No More Secrets” has toured Maine and New Hampshire, teaching more than 45,000 school-age children the skills on how to protect themselves and keep themselves safe.

The play also teaches them not to keep the secret of sexual abuse if it occurs, and lets children know that if they are sexually abused, it is not their fault.

Advocates for Children is a participating United Way agency and is a recipient of the Lewiston Community Development Block Grant.
