FARMINGTON – Voters on Tuesday passed SAD 9’s $21.6 million spending package, which includes adult education.

The narrowest margin was in the $1.66 million leadership article that was approved by 203 votes, 1,327 to 1,124.

The second closest vote was Question 8, which asked the district to appropriate $1.8 million in additional local funds. That question was approved by 548 votes, 1,480 to 932.

Question 12 that authorized the board to transfer up to 5 percent between expenditure lines in case of emergency or unexpected expense passed by the widest margin with 1,114 votes. The combined tally was 1,792 to 678.

“I think all in all we were pleased that all the articles passed,” SAD 9 Assistant Superintendent Susan Pratt said. “We feel like the vote was a reflection of how hard we worked as a district to keep the budget down.”
