RUMFORD – Alice M. Quirion, 91, formerly of Cherry Street in Mexico, died Wednesday, June 9, at Rumford Community Hospital.
She was born in Mexico on Aug. 10, 1912, a daughter of Angus and Mary (Cormier) Tremblay.
She was educated in Mexico schools and was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden.
She is survived by three sons, Rene J. Quirion and his wife Mary Helen of Cumberland, Lionel J. Quirion and his wife Pauline of Augusta, Norman J. Quirion and his wife Louise of Wilton; one daughter, Mariette Harnden of Rumford; one brother, Edward Tremblay of Hendersonville, N.C.; two sisters, Ida MacDougall of Mexico, and Irene Austin of Dixfield; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred J. Quirion; a daughter, Annette Williams in 2003; two sisters, Margaret Smith and Regina Kimball; son-in-law, Cary Harnden; and daughter-in-law, Sally Quirion.
