LEEDS – Margaret E. Marston, 52, a resident of Bishop Hill Road, Leeds, died unexpectedly June 8, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 22, 1951, the daughter of Charles A. and Pearl (Reed) Mulherin. She attended the Leeds schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1969, she attended University of Maine at Augusta from 1969-1970, in 1971, she transferred to University of Maine at Farmington receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1974. She received her Master’s Degree in Education at University of New England in 2004.

On Sept. 18, 1971, she married Gary Marston in Leeds. From 1971 to 1979, she worked at Mid-State United Cerebral Palsy School as a Teacher’s Aide and then as a teacher. From 1979 to 1981, she worked at Leeds Central School as a Special Education Teacher Resource. In 1981, she started work as a Special Education Teacher Self-Contained at Greene Central School to present day.

She was a member of The Maine Teacher Association, Leeds Community Church where she taught Sunday School, and a member of the continuing Education Degree, she also served on many committees of SAD 52. She was a Union Building Representative for the Teachers Association in SAD 52.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; one son, Jared of Leeds; a daughter, Jessica Marston of White Plains, N.Y; a sister, Patricia Leblond and her husband Albert of Winthrop; two brothers, Daniel A. Mulherin and his wife Jerrie of Monmouth and James Mulherin and his wife Paula of Leeds; many nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

She was predeceased by a great-niece, Paige Albert; and a special aunt, Imogene Towle.
