PARIS – “Legs, Wings and Creepy Things” will be explored by children taking part in the Children’s Summer Reading Program at the Paris Public Library.
The program will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, June 22 through Aug. 10, and is open to all ages. There will be a butterfly program June 22, a visit to McLaughlin Gardens June 29 and a program on bug myths on July 6. There will be a program on spider web dream-catchers July 13, on bees on July 20, and on water bugs on July 27. There will be a story time on Aug. 3, and a bug-mobile on Aug. 10.
Special speakers will come in to lead each of the programs.
In addition, the library will continue with its public story times, which include stories and arts, led by library volunteer Joan Parker. Tuesdays from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. are set aside for toddlers under age 2. On Wednesday, children ages 7 to 10 are invited from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and all pre-school children are invited on Thursdays from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
