LIVERMORE FALLS – Friday is the deadline to enroll children in the six-week Summer Recreation Program.

Director Brenda Bryant says sign-up may be done at the town office. Anyone wishing to register after the deadline will have to contact Bryant at 897-5574 to see if there are any openings left.

Fees for the program are: Livermore Falls residents, $30 for the first child and $10 for each one thereafter; Livermore residents, $60 for the first child and $30 for each one extra; other towns, $100 per child.

Bryant explained that the fees are higher for out-of-town residents because the program is supported solely by Livermore Falls tax dollars.

She said recreation will run from June 21 through July 30 and will include a number of fun activities for the children including sporting games and trips.

Included in the trips this year are movies, roller skating, Dummer’s Beach, Sea Dogs game (age 9 and up), and Funtown. There is an additional fee for the trips, she said.

The program begins at 9 a.m. and is based at the high school cafeteria. In addition to the activities, the children are fed a free breakfast and lunch with dismissal at 2 p.m. except for Fridays when they get out at 12:15 p.m.
