SIDNEY – The 22nd Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Festival will be held June 17-20 at the Silver Spur Riding Club.

Organizers say the festival will provide some of the greatest bluegrass music for listeners at one of the largest family musical events in New England.

This bluegrass festival takes place twice a year, in June and August, bringing thousands of music lovers to Sidney to hear banjos, fiddles and those “high, lonesome harmonies.”

This June’s event will feature many national and local bands during the four days of entertainment.

The festival can accommodate buses, RVs, campers, tents and day attendees. The Web site www.blisteredfingers.com has more information, including a performance schedule, ticket prices and directions.

Performers will include Rhonda Vincent and The Rage of Missouri; The Lewis Family, Georgia; Bob and Dan Paisley with The Southern Grass, Pennsylvania; The Martins, Missouri; Jim and Jennie and The Pinetops, Pennsylvania; Fiddlin Tim Farrell, Maine; Rustic Harmony, New Brunswick, Canada; Hunger Mountain Boys, Massachusetts; Wilf Clark and The Misty Mountaineers, Maine; Smokey Greene, New York; Katahdin Valley Boys, Maine; Blake Mountain Band, New Hampshire; Juggles The Clown, New York; and the host bluegrass band, Blistered Fingers, Maine.

To reach the festival people can take exit 120 from Interstate 95, then head south on Route 104. The festival will be about 200 yards south on that route.
