SISTERON, France (AP) – Lance Armstrong held onto fourth place overall after the fifth stage of the Dauphine Libere cycling race Friday, a tuneup in his bid for a sixth straight Tour de France title.

Australia’s Stuart O’Grady won the 93-mile stage from Bollene to Sisteron in a two-rider sprint to the finish, just beating out George Hincapie. Both clocked 3 hours, 13 minutes, 21 seconds.

Armstrong finished in a pack of riders with overall leader Iban Mayo of Spain, crossing 6:12 seconds later.

Mayo leads Tyler Hamilton by 36 seconds overall. Armstrong is two minutes back.

The sixth stage Saturday is an 89-mile ride from Gap to Grenoble.

The weeklong race ends Sunday.
