LEWISTON – Jeffrey James McQuarrie, 49, of Lewiston, died Tuesday, June 1, at Russell Park Manor in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.

He was much loved, respected and admired by his family and friends, especially for his courage in his final battle with cancer.

Born in York, Oct. 15, 1954, the son of Virginia and the late James McQuarrie, who died in 1989, he attended Bath schools and obtained his G.E.D.

He enjoyed his many friends at Blake Street Towers in Lewiston, where he resided for the past 15 years.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia, of Bath; a sister, Janis McQuarrie of Brighton, Mass.; two nieces, Sheila McQuarrie and Barbara Bramer, also of Brighton, Mass.; a nephew, S.F.C. Michael Bramer of 82nd Airborne of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; several cousins; and also by his dearest friends, Rob and Vicky Woodham and Jane Anderson of Lewiston.
