AUBURN – Harriman Associates, a full-service architecture and engineering firm, announces that nine design professionals recently received Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design accreditation.

LEED accredited professionals are experienced building industry practitioners who have a demonstrated knowledge of integrated design of green building practices and principles.

“There is a growing awareness from the public and private sectors for environmentally-friendly or green’ buildings,” said Ed Cormier, president of Harriman Associates. “We have always recognized that buildings have an impact on our natural environment, economy, health and productivity, and Harriman Associates is taking steps to ensure that our employees and our clients’ buildings receive the LEED-certified recognition.”

Harriman architects and engineers receiving their LEED Accredited Professional certification are: Patrick S. Costin, partner; Frank L Crabtree, associate, civil engineer/environmental engineer; Steven J. Florenz, structural designer/drafter; Mark D. Lee, architectural designer; Denis L. Lemieux, associate architect; Jeffrey B. Luy, associate architect; Richard D. Miles, senior mechanical designer; Cirro A. Russo, commissioning specialist/senior balancing technician; and Derek V. Smythe, architectural designer.
