MEXICO – A Rumford woman allegedly walked out of the Mexico Laundromat on Saturday morning with 11 $5 bills snuck from an attendant’s small metal change container.

Police caught her after she took a taxi from the scene on Main Street.

Jeny White, 31, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of theft,

Officer Michael Richard said. Once in custody, she told police she was also responsible for $20 in missing quarters taken last week, he said.

Richard said White waited until the laundry attendant got busy or distracted.
