MEXICO – Region 9 Director Deborah Guimont will update the board on end-of-year student activities and progress made on obtaining accreditation when the board meets on Tuesday.
The Region 9 cooperative board meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of the school.
Several teachers will devote part of the summer to gathering required information for certification with the Department of Education. About $6,500 has been set aside for the work.
Also at the board meeting, the salary agreement for 10 educational technicians and office staff will be acted on, and contracts offered to the adult education director, student services coordinator and cooperative education teacher.
Board members are expected to act on a contract for hot lunches for Region 9 students with SAD 43, make salary adjustments for four teachers based on additional experience, and possibly reorganize one of the teaching positions.
The contract for heating oil is expected to be awarded, a lighter board meeting schedule set for the summer, and routine authorizations for specific actions granted to the director over the summer months.
