DIXFIELD – Dixfield Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the Legion Hall. Following the business meeting, a potluck luncheon will be served. Members are asked to bring either sandwiches, salads or dessert to share.

A new trip list will be available and will include information on the Aug. 20 Belfast-Moosehead train trip with lunch at the Weathervane; Oct. 18 trip to Indian Head Resort October Fest Party where members will celebrate their 35th anniversary; and Oct. 31, Nov. 1 to 3, annual mystery trip. There is space available for the Sept. 8 and 9 trip to Foxwoods-Mohegan Sun. Call Connie at 364-4189 for details.

Membership in the Neighborly Seniors is available to anyone age 50 and over. New members are welcome.

Class lunch

RUMFORD – The women of Stephens High School class of 1948 will meet at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at the Island Cafe on Congress Street. Phone Colleen at 364-3553 if planning to attend.

Vacation school

EAST DIXFIELD – The East Dixfield United Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 21 to 25. There will be classes for all ages and everyone is welcome. There will be Bible lessons, Bible verse memorization, crafts, contests and prizes.

Society cookout

MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the museum at 3 Oxford St. for a cookout.

Guest speaker will be Gerry Richards on “The Process of Making Maple Syrup.” There will be a short business meeting.

The museum is open each Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; open by appointment; call museum on Thursday at 364-4496 or Bea at 364-2571.
