AUBURN – Alina Burke is promoted to business development officer and real estate mortgage specialist at the Auburn branch. She will be responsible for developing new business while continuing to focus on the development of real estate mortgages.

Burke joined Northeast in 2002 as mortgage loan originator. Prior to that she was employed by Liberty Mutual for 15 years. She is a member of the Androscoggin Valley Board of Realtors, and current president of the Lewiston/Auburn Optimist Club.

Dan Hancock is promoted to business development officer at the Brunswick branch, where he will be responsible for developing sales and new business in the mid-coast region. He joined Northeast in 2002 as a trainer in the company’s Human Resources Department. He was previously employed by Evergreen Credit Union as a branch manager.

Kelly Downing has been promoted to vice president and manager of Deposit Servicing and Compliance, located at Northeast’s Lewiston Operations Center.

She will be responsible for deposit operations including deposit account servicing, electronic banking activities, telephone banking and Internet banking, as well as all compliance for the bank.

Downing joined Northeast Bank in January 2002 as AVP, Manager of Deposit Servicing and Electronic Banking. She has 30 years of banking experience at Casco Bank, Casco Northern and Bank of Boston. Recently, she was employed as a consultant with M&M Consulting, LLC, supplying compliance reviews and audit services to various community banks.
